The Black Diamond Distance Carbon Z women's pole is incredibly light and has been designed with fast-paced adventures in mind, fast and light, and running for example.
Made from 100% carbon and a slimmer diameter than the previous model, these poles are lighter than before, but retain the same level of durability. The handles are ergonomically shaped to fit petite hands.
The other key features are the foldable three-section design that deploys quickly and takes up minimal space when not in use. The strap is breathable and moisture wicking and the lightweight EVA foam grip provides adequate comfort.
Included are both rubber and carbide tech tips and the poles have a low-volume basket that can be upgraded separately with a Z-Pole Snow Basket.

How to Measure: On flat ground, the top of the trekking pole handle should be at waist or hip level and your elbow at approximately 90 degrees. For walking, hiking and backpacking: Stability and support matter most. Size up if you're right on a size cusp. For running: Uphill propulsion matters most. Size down if you're right on the size cusp.
